Doot Beach Siargao is one of my favourite chill spots on the island. Doot Beach is one of the least touristy locations in Siargao, surprisingly only a 10-minute drive from the more popular Siargao tourist spot, General Luna.
HOW TO GET TO DOOT BEACH SIARGAO
Doot Beach Siargao is a 10-minute drive south-east of General Luna. Follow the coastal road right to the end and this is where Doot Beach can be found.
The best way to get around Siargao island is on a scooter. The cost for a scooter rental is around 300-400 pesos per day or for a monthly rental you’ll get a cheaper rate of 200-300 pesos per day. Most accommodations will be more than happy to help you to organise a scooter rental for your time spent on Siargao island.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT DOOT BEACH SIARGAO
The drive down to Doot Beach Siargao is a scenic journey down a dirt trail lined with coconut palm trees. When you reach the end of the road you’ll see a sign reading ‘private property.’ We visited Doot Beach with a local Filipino who knew the property owner and said it was completely fine to access Doot Beach Siargao as long as we took all of our rubbish away with us and left only footprints.
My friends and I spent a couple of hours exploring the unique Doot Beach Siargao. Palm trees are dotted around the beach perfect for climbing to the top for a fresh coconut, small boats lay in the bay, relaxing and secluded swimming areas can be found as well as an impressive mangrove forest across the freshwater river.
When we visited Doot Beach Siargao there happened to be a local Filipino taking a dip in the ocean next to his boat. We asked him if he would kindly take us over to the small canals between the mangroves and he happily did so. For a 30-minute boat ride, he only asked for 150 pesos.
Doot Beach Siargao is best visited on high-tide and it is also an incredible location to watch the sunset.

General Luna is the place to be when it comes to visiting Siargao. This week I based myself at the Secret Spot Siargao Hostel, a 45-minute drive to Del Carmen.
Adi, the owner of the hostel, is a yoga teacher and seasoned traveller who has set up this eco-friendly accommodation that welcomes anyone and everyone to stay during their visit to the beautiful Siargao Philippines.
The Secret Spot Siargao Hostel features an upstairs dormitory with 20 comfortable beds, downstairs bathrooms, spacious living area, fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor chill zone, free wifi and hanging hammocks in the garden.
For all other Siargao accommodation options, you can browse Booking.com to find something that best suits you.
