ARRIVING AT THE LAUNCH SITE
Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast maintains the highest possible attention to safety to provide an unforgettable hot air balloon experience over the Gold Coast hinterland. When booking a Gold Coast hot air balloon experience, you can expect 5-star service from start to finish.
It’s an early 4:30 am pick up from your hotel or from the designated meeting point to jump on board the courtesy bus, followed by a 30-minute drive to Canungra where the Gold Coast Hot Air Balloon flight launches.
Before you launch, Kelly (the awesome bus driver and team member) will present an important safety briefing with a hint of humor. Believe me, Kelly will have you cackling in your seats to kick start your morning adventure.
When you reach the launch site, enjoy an incredible display as the crew members inflate the hot air balloons in an open field. Once instructed, everyone will climb into the basket one-by-one to prepare for lift-off!

About to take to the skies!
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE AIR
Jay, the chief pilot at Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast, fired up the flames which lifted our basket off the ground with ease. As we took the skies, Jay navigated the hot air balloon swiftly across the tops of local farms that cover the wide-open plains of the Gold Coast hinterland.
The sun begun to rise up slowly over the ocean, emitting a magical orange glow across the region and lighting up the distant mountain peaks. I have to admit, this was one of the most incredible sights on the Gold Coast I have seen!
Jay really put on a show, spinning the hot air balloon around in all directions to give everyone the best possible views of the region from your corner of the basket.
The airspace was dotted with a few other colorful balloons and we floated aimlessly across the treetops with distant views of the Border Ranges and the Surfers Paradise skyline.
The hot air balloon ride lasts for about one hour and as the flight comes to an end, the pilot will notify everyone to take their landing positions which requires squatting down inside the basket and holding on to the rope handles. The basket will land safely on the ground in an open field and the courtesy bus will be there waiting to take you to breakfast.

CHAMPAGNE BREAKFAST AT O’REILLY’S VINEYARD
From the landing site, it’s approximately a 20-minute drive to the beautiful O’reilly’s Vineyard where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of champagne and a hot breakfast. Not a bad way to top of the experience if you ask me!
Once everyone in the group has enjoyed a hearty meal, it’s time to jump back on the bus to be dropped off at your hotel or designated pick-up area.
In conclusion, the hot air balloon in Gold Coast is a once in a lifetime experience and I guarantee you won’t regret trying this fun-fuelled activity during your visit.
