Have you got travel insurance for the Philippines? I know that nobody likes to talk about this stuff but accidents happen all the time and having travel insurance can save you thousands of dollars if something goes wrong. You can read more about why you need travel insurance.

I have been using World Nomads Travel Insurance on every trip and in my opinion, they are the best travel insurance provider on the market. I always choose the Explorer Plan as it covers just about everything.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT MOLAVE CLIFF DIVING RESORT

Once you’ve paid the entry fee you can head straight down to the cliffs, find a spot to perch up and set down your belongings. There are half a dozen wooden huts with tables and chairs available for rent but in my opinion, they are a waste of money. Just set your things down on the rocks and your bag should generally be safe, though I do recommend leaving your valuables at the hotel just to be sure.

The Molave Cliff Diving Resort features a 5-meter high diving board straight into the clear blue ocean below. It’s best to run and jump off the diving board as there is a certain landing point that is clear of rocks. If you are not 100% confident, just ask the lifeguard on duty exactly where to land and watch some other keen jumpers go first.

To exit the water, it’s a 20 to 30 meter swim in shallow waters to a staircase that leads back to the clifftop. It’s possible to walk across the reef to reach the stairs though it’s rugged in some areas and there is the odd sea urchin. Best to bring a pair of slip-on waterproof shoes to avoid getting cut up feet.

It’s the safest and most adrenalin-driven cliff dive in Bohol so you have got nothing to worry about! My friends and I spent an hour or so at Molave Cove Cliff Dive throwing ourselves over the edge countless times.

SNORKELLING AT MOLAVE COVE

Once you’ve tired yourself out from all the cliff diving, grab a mask and snorkel and check out the underwater world in Molave Cove.

There are said to be large balls of sardines off the edge of the reef in Molave Cove so keep a close eye out for them. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any sardine balls when I visited but I was lucky enough to spot a couple of sea turtles so I guess I can’t complain too much!

There is a netted off snorkelling and swimming area in front of Molave Cliff Diving Resort so you won’t have to worry about any boats running into you.
