A Siargao Island Hopping tour is a must-do activity when visiting Siargao Island in the Philippines. Spend the day island hopping between 3 tropical islands known as Naked Island, Daku Island and Guyam Island, just off the coast from the main tourist hub of General Luna in Siargao.
WHERE TO BOOK A SIARGAO ISLAND HOPPING TOUR
The easiest way to book a Siargao Island Hopping tour is to head to the pier in General Luna, Siargao and find a local Filipino who has a boat. I guarantee before you even have time to park your scooter there will be 10 locals yelling out to you offering Siargao island hopping tours. It’s then a matter of choosing your preferred boat driver and bartering a good price.
My friends and I went down to the General Luna pier at around 7am to organise a boat and driver for our Siargao Island Hopping tour. We picked our guy and bartered the price with him from 1500 pesos down to 1300 pesos, this includes a full-day travelling between Daku Island, Guyam Island and Naked Island. We had a group of 3 people to split the cost of the Siargao island hopping tour between us.
I believe this is one of the best Siargao island tour packages you can find.
SIARGAO ISLAND HOPPING
#1 NAKED ISLAND
The first stop of the day on the Siargao island hopping tour is Naked Island. The name of this island gives it away, being nothing more than just a tiny naked sandbar in the middle of the ocean with no trees and no other signs of life. Naked Island is surrounded by a colourful reef with some good snorkelling to be had. Other than walking around the island in a matter of minutes and swimming with the fish, there is not much else to do on Naked Island Siargao but it was a good spot to send my DJI Mavic Pro Drone up to get some aerial shots. See the images below of Naked Island from a birds-eye perspective.

#2 DAKU ISLAND
Daku island is the next stop on the Island Hopping Siargao itinerary, just a short 20-minute boat ride from Naked Island. Our captain beached the boat on the sandbar at Daku Island and my friends and I were quickly off on foot to explore. There is a 100 peso entrance fee per boat when arriving at Daku Island and the guy collecting monies will be sure to make himself known to you.
The tide was getting low which was perfect timing to get some shots of the exposed sandbar and the electric blue water on the edge of Daku Island. We then found a litter of puppies rolling around in the sand so we stopped and played with them for a good half an hour.
Exploring Daku Island was the highlight for me on the Siargao Island Hopping tour. The three of us had so much fun exploring around the island, climbing coconut palms, swimming in turquoise waters and getting some unreal shots on land and in the air. This island is insanely beautiful and I am still now trying to come to terms with the fact that Daku Island actually exists!
Daku Island is the perfect spot for lunch and you can find a cheap meal at one of the local beachside restaurant shacks. Alternatively, some Siargao Island Hopping tours can help to organise a seafood lunch to be cooked for you on Daku Island at an additional cost.

#3 GUYAM ISLAND
The last stop on the Siargao Island Hopping tour is Guyam Island. When I think of the words ‘tropical island’ and ‘paradise’, Guyam Island is a perfect example of that. This tiny little island in the middle of the ocean is covered in a miniature coconut palm tree forest and surrounded by glistening white sand and a shallow, rocky reef.
Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to park the boat and explore Guyam Island on the day that we were there because someone had reserved the entire island for a private party. Sounds terrible right?
Anyhow, my friends and I still enjoyed the spectacular views from the boat and we spent some time swimming around in the crystal clear waters next to Guyam Island.
The boat journey back to the General Luna pier in Siargao takes approximately 20-minutes from Guyam Island and this is where the Siargao Island Hopping tour ends.
