Philippines Waterfalls are most famous for their Gatorade blue color and the common jungle hike to get to them!

I spent 3 months island hopping in the Philippines and have put together this complete list of 20 Best Waterfalls In The Philippines!

PHILIPPINES WATERFALLS ON CEBU ISLAND

KAWASAN FALLS

Kawasan Falls in Badian is without a doubt one of the most popular falls in the Philippines! A visit to Kawasan Falls to do the canyoneering is the most adrenaline-pumping adventure.

Whether it’s your first time canyoneering or not, the Kawasan Falls experience is not to be missed on your Philippines Waterfalls list!

This waterfall in Philippines is located just 45 minutes drive from Moalboal in South Cebu.

I recommend pre-booking a Kawasan Falls Tour Package online with Viator which includes return transfers from your accommodation in Moalboal so you won’t need to worry about the logistics.

Kawasan Falls is one of the famous falls in the Philippines, and I recommend booking now to secure your spot.

Upon arriving at the Kawasan Canyoneering Headquarters, we met our guide Raul who got us fitted into the required safety equipment such as water shoes, life jackets, and helmets.

We took a ride on the back of a motorbike to the top of the mountain and before we knew it we were completely submerged in the first rock pool. Soon after, Raul made us sit down at the edge of a one-meter cliff before he gently pushed us backward over a small set of falls into another rock pool below. At this point, I knew we were in for an epic adventure!

We then continued navigating our way through knee-deep water that was as clear as crystal. The water trail took us through some amazing caves and natural rock slides. There were also numerous cliff jumps ranging anywhere from three meters up to fourteen meters. Do note that if you are afraid of heights you’ve always got the option to walk around the cliffs instead of jumping.

When you reach the end of the canyon it will bring you to the famous Kawasan Falls. You can spend as much time as you like at Kawasan Falls as there are about five different levels of waterfalls and several big cliff jumps to keep you entertained.

There are also a few restaurants by the main waterfall to grab something to eat and drink at the end of your adventure.

The best way to visit is to join the Kawasan Falls and Canyoneering Day Tour!

It includes transportation, lunch, all fees, snorkeling with sharks, the Sumilon Sandbar, and a fun guide!

AGUINID FALLS

Aguinid Falls is one of the best falls in the Philippines. The multi-tiered Aguinid Falls is one heck of an adventure and I highly recommend adding it to your list of things to do in Cebu!

Aguinid Falls is not quite as popular as Kawasan Falls just up the road, but the word is spreading quickly about this awesome waterfall and it’s just as impressive, in my opinion.

Must Read → 3 Weeks Philippines Itinerary

Aguinid Falls is located in the small village of Samboan in South Cebu. From Oslob, it’s a 30-minute drive and from Moalboal it’s approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes drive to reach Aguinid Falls.

The entrance fee to Aguinid Falls is 300 pesos which includes compulsory safety equipment (wet shoes, helmet, and life jacket), two guides, and also the tip for the guides.

As I mentioned earlier, Aguinid Falls in Cebu is a multi-tiered waterfall with eight levels of falls to be exact. Eight freakin’ waterfalls, can you believe it?! Although the locals say there are eight levels of falls, only six levels are currently accessible as they are still working to improve the trail to the higher levels.

This is not your typical waterfall where you take a short trek in, go for a dip and take photos, but rather an epic and very physical adventure that involves jumping, climbing ropes, and navigating your way through the cascading falls.

It took us around two hours to complete the Aguinid Falls tour but that included many stops to take photos. For the average person, it would take around one hour from start to finish.

BINALAYAN HIDDEN FALLS

Binalayan Falls, also referred to as Binalayan Hidden Falls, is one of the most awesome Philippines waterfalls and I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary!

See More → Things To Do In Cebu

Binalayan Falls is located in Samboan in South Cebu. From Oslob, it’s a 30-minute drive and from Moalboal it’s approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes drive to reach these falls in the Philippines.

There are half a dozen waterfalls in Samboan, South Cebu so if you plan it right you can visit more than one waterfall in one day. An ideal one-day South Cebu itinerary from Moalboal is to first visit Aguinid Falls, secondly Binalayan Hidden Waterfalls, and thirdly Dau Falls.

The Binalayan Falls entrance fee is 100 pesos which includes a guide and there is also a 10 pesos parking fee. Tipping your guide is completely up to you, but somewhere between 50–100 pesos would do.

There are a number of water crossings on the way to the main set of falls at Binalayan so it’s best to wear a pair of water shoes or flip flops because your feet will get wet.

The first tier at Binalayan Falls features a shallow crystalline rock pool, a rest area with some make-shift benches and a tire swing hung from a tree. It’s definitely worth taking a short break here in this tranquil little section of the trek.

The main falls at Binalayan Waterfall boast a 5ft tall rock face and the flow of water is divided into three separate streams that fill the basin beneath.

There is a cave behind the falls from which you can climb up and jump, but it’s best to let your guide go first to show you how it’s done.

The water is around two meters deep so I wouldn’t recommend diving headfirst. I touched the sandy bottom with my feet when I jumped, even with my knees bent.

There is also a range of cliff-jumping spots on the left-hand side of the falls, but even this is a bit sketchy due to the shallow pool below. Only jump from a height you feel comfortable with; even if the guide encourages you to jump from a higher level just say no.

Apart from cliff jumping, you can hang out in the crystalline waters at the base of Binalayan Falls and explore the natural caves behind the falls.

DAO FALLS

My visit to Dao Falls in Samboan was low-key one of the best adventures I had in South Cebu and a visit to this waterfall is an absolute must!

Dao Falls is best visited from Moalboal, which is 53km away and the drive takes around one hour and twenty minutes.

So what is so unique about Dao Waterfall? Well, to start with, it’s recognized as the tallest set of falls in the Samboan region and secondly, the jungle trail trek to get to the main set of falls is an epic adventure in itself. Convinced?!

The entrance fee to Dao Falls is 200 pesos which includes a guide and the parking fee is an additional 20 pesos. The guide, in my opinion, was not really necessary as the trail to Dau Falls is clearly marked but he was good company and we tipped him at the end for his efforts.

Trekking to Dau Falls from the parking lot takes around twenty to thirty minutes including stops for photos. It isn’t a difficult trek by any means though do note that your feet will get wet along this jungle trail.

In most parts, it requires walking through knee-deep water and I recommend bringing a pair of slip-on waterproof shoes for these sections.

Pssst! Check out this EPIC Hiking Backpack!

Osprey Hiking

Perfect for shorter day hikes, the Osprey Stratos 24L is a tough pack made from sustainable materials.

With great internal organization, this is all you need for your next adventure, no matter the weather!

The first part of the trek to Dao Falls is a concrete staircase with around 200 steps that leads directly down into the valley and once you reach the bottom, this is where the real adventure begins!

An impressive bamboo suspension bridge surrounded by coconut palms stretches across the river and on the other side is the beginning of the jungle trail to Dau Waterfall.

It wasn’t long until we were completely immersed in a dense jungle as we followed the canyon trail upstream which seemed to grow narrower the further we advanced. It was one of the most tranquil trails I have ever hiked along.

Vines cover the canyon walls and blue Gatorade-colored waters cascade seamlessly past as we navigated our way toward Dao Waterfall.

The adventurous hike to Dao Falls, in my opinion, is what makes this location so unique. There are many turquoise rock pools along the way that are well worth stopping at for a quick dip and this is where you’ll likely get your best photos.

When you reach the top you’ll be graced with the epic sight of Dao Falls which towers 50-meters tall above the large catch basin. The pools at the base of the falls aren’t quite as blue as the ones on the way up but it is still a worthy spot for a swim to cool off after the hike.

INAMBAKAN FALLS

Inambakan Falls in Ginatilan makes it onto this Philippines waterfalls list for a couple of good reasons! One is the blue Gatorade-colored springs and jungle surroundings and two because there are multiple levels at Inambakan Falls which makes this one of the most epic falls to explore.

Inambakan Falls is located in the small village of Ginatilan in South Cebu. Inambakan Falls Ginatilan is best visited from the nearby beach town of Oslob, which is approximately a 45-minute drive.

You can also visit Inambakan Falls from Moalboal and this drive takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The entrance fee at Inambakan Falls is 50 pesos and an additional 10 pesos for parking.

The hike down to the main falls takes no more than 5 minutes from the jump-off point and the trail winds upstream until it emerges at the base of the 100-foot tall Inambakan Falls.

My favorite feature of the falls is the milky blue pool of water in the catch basin which gets its color from the limestone cliffs that surround the falls. It seriously looks inviting enough to drink!

Once you’ve taken a dip in the milky blue waters at the main set of falls, continue hiking along the trail and up the stairs to the next few levels.

You can stop in at the second level of Inambakan which features a shallow rock pool right at the top of the main set of falls. Watch your step on the rocks at this spot as they are very slippery and it’s a long way down if you fall.

The level up from here was my favorite because there are several cliff jumping spots into a number of refreshing rock pools. I did a depth check first before throwing myself off different rocks into the crystalline waters of Inambakan Falls.

Continuing on, I followed the trail up a little higher to the top level of Inambakan Falls which features a large swimming hole and more cliff jumping spots. The lush jungle that surrounds the area contrasts beautifully off of the water and adds to the tranquility of this epic Cebu tourist spot.

Inambakan Falls was hands down one of my favorite adventures that I had while traveling around South Cebu and it’s suitable for all sorts of travelers.

TUMALOG FALLS

Tumalog Falls in Oslob is also one of the most popular Philippines Waterfalls! A visit to Tumalog Falls is typically combined with the Oslob Whale Shark Tour which is another great activity you can add to your South Cebu itinerary!

There is one tour that I can recommend which is a full-day trip from Cebu City and it includes swimming with whale sharks in Oslob and a visit to Tumalog Falls.

This particular tour is the most top-rated Whale Shark + Tumalog Falls Tour with great reviews.

The Tumalog Falls entrance fee is 50 pesos if you plan to visit without a tour and opening times are Monday to Sunday from 6am to 5pm.

Tumalog Falls is quite unique, featuring a mellow curtain of water falling down the face of a monolithic limestone cliff. There is a large swimming area at the base of the falls where you can take a dip to cool off. The color of the water in the basin is that classic milky blue tinge that the Philippines is most famous for!

Tumalog Falls Oslob is surrounded by tall bamboo and mossy walls adding to the jungle vibes that you will find here. A large cave can also be found on the left-hand side of the falls if you wish to explore deeper and get another cool perspective of Tumalog Falls from inside.

There are change rooms and toilet facilities for guests to use and also a small sari sari store if you wish to buy some water and light snacks.

CAMBUGAHAY FALLS

Cambugahay Falls is arguably the best waterfall on Siquijor Island. Cambugahay Falls is most famous for its tiered levels and freshwater cascades that are surrounded by lush rainforest.

Cambugahay Falls is also located in Lazi on Siquijor Island. From the main tourist area of San Juan, it’s approximately a 35-minute drive to reach Cambugahay Falls Siquijor.

The Cambugahay Falls entrance fee is 20 pesos and also a parking fee which is by donation only. To use the rope swings and rubber tubes down at these Siquijor Falls the cost is 50 pesos.

From the jump-off point, it takes around 5-minutes to walk down a set of concrete steps to reach the first level of Cambugahay Falls. This epic Siquijor waterfall features a large natural swimming hole and some man-made structures including rope swings, bamboo rafts, and a wide set of falls.

Besides the bottom swimming hole, there are a few more levels of these Philippines Waterfalls to explore. Follow the trail upstream and across the bamboo bridges to where you will find more freshwater swimming holes, flowing rock pools, and several cliff jumping spots.

If you have a DJI Mavic Drone Camera, I highly recommend sending it up at Cambugahay Falls to capture the tiered cascades from above!

LUGNASON FALLS

Lugnason Falls, also known as Zodiac Falls, is one of the more popular waterfalls on Siquijor Island that boasts vibrant blue water, cliff jumping, and cold springs!

Lugnason Falls is located in San Juan on Siquijor Island. From the main tourist area of San Juan, it’s approximately a 15-minute drive to reach these falls and the entrance fee is FREE, although you may be asked to pay a small parking fee of 10 pesos.

From the jump-off point, It takes around 15-minutes to walk along a dirt trail through the forest to reach Lugnason Falls.

Lugnason Falls features a 5-meter waterfall and a large spring filled with blue Gatorade-colored water. It’s an adventurer’s playground and reminded me of the blue-ass water that I found at Kawasan Falls in Cebu.

Lugnason Falls is a great spot to hang out and go swimming under the falls to cool off. For the thrill-seekers, jumping from the top of the falls into the catch basin below is a lot of fun too!

Don’t end the adventure here as there are more unique spots to be found in the same valley as Lugnason Falls. Follow the jungle trail downstream to where you will find man-made aqua ducts and an epic cold spring perfect for swimming!

I have never seen anything like these concrete water chutes and they made for the perfect photo opportunity under the shade of the coconut palm trees.

LAGAAN FALLS

Lagaan Falls is another one of the best waterfalls in Siquijor and a must-visit during your stay! Swimming holes, rope swings, rock jumps, and small caves are just some of the things you can expect to find.

Lagaan Falls is located in Lazi on Siquijor Island. From the main tourist area of San Juan, it’s approximately a 30-minute drive to reach this waterfall.

The entrance fee is 30 pesos and parking is free. At the entrance, local guides will offer to take you down to the falls but this is not necessary as the trail is clearly marked. However, I visited these falls on my own and decided to take a guide for good company and tipped him 50 pesos at the end.

It takes around 15-minutes to walk along a dirt trail underneath a dense rainforest canopy to reach the waterfall. Some of the features you will find here are a large swimming hole, rope swings, small caves, rock jumps, and a wide set of falls.

Don’t forget to follow the jungle trail upstream where you will find small freshwater rock pools and natural jacuzzis.

There are plenty of tables, hammocks, and chill-out spaces around the edges of Lagaan Falls Siquijor to set down your belongings before going for a dip. There’s also a make-shift change room for visitors to use if need be.

The lush jungle that surrounds Lagaan Falls is what makes this place so tranquil and I highly recommend adding this spot to your list of must-see Philippines waterfalls!

PHILIPPINES WATERFALLS ON BOHOL ISLAND

CAN-UMANTAD FALLS

Can-umantad Falls in Candijay is the biggest and arguably the best waterfall in Bohol. Located high in the hills away from the main tourist towns, Can-umantad Falls is an adventure not to be missed!

Can Umantad Falls is located in the Candijay region in Bohol. From Anda, it takes approximately 50 minutes to get to Can-umantad Fall.

If you are staying in the main tourist area of Panglao, Can Umantad Falls is a 105km drive that takes approximately 2.5 hours.

At the jump-off point, you’ll have to pay a 20 pesos entrance fee and from here it’s a short 5-minute walk along a clearly marked trail to reach Can-umantad Falls. The way is made up of dirt trails, stone steps, and wooden bridges that cross the running freshwater stream.

The height of Can-umantad Falls is said to be 60ft making it the tallest waterfall in Bohol. Its water source originates from the blue and cool water from Pundol Spring in Candapdapan, making its way downstream to the 60ft drop at Can Umantad Falls and into a large basin below.

Swimming under the flow of water to receive a natural head and neck massage is an awesome experience to have at Can-umantad Falls Candijay. The water is quite shallow on the edges of the catch basin but it becomes deeper the closer you get to the falls.

There are plenty of seating areas around the main falls which is a perfect spot to chill out for a while.

KINAHUGAN FALLS

Kinahugan Falls is one of the most off-the-beaten-path waterfalls in the Philippines. A short five-minute hike along a jungle trail to these falls is a worthy adventure.

Kinahugan Falls is located in Jagna on Bohol Island. From Anda, it’s s a 37km drive that takes approximately 50 minutes.

If you are staying in the main tourist area of Panglao, Kinahugan Falls is an 80km drive that takes approximately 2 hours.

The trek to Kinahugan Falls from the parking lot takes no more than five minutes down a narrow dirt trail that can be quite slippery so take your time through this section.

When you reach the bottom of the trail it opens up to a flat plateau surrounded by coconut palms and a river runs down one side of the valley.

There are actually two sets of falls at Kinahugan Waterfall boasting mass volumes of water gushing down a rock face into the river below.

Kinahugan Falls isn’t the most ideal spot for a swim as there is quite a lot of water moving around and it did look quite dangerous to be fair. This location is purely for marveling at and enjoying the scenic jungle that surrounds the falls.

INGKUMHAN FALLS

Ingkumhan Falls is another one of the top waterfalls and a must-see while you are exploring Bohol Island. Cliff jumps and rope swings are just some of the reasons that make Ingkumahan Falls one of the top locations to visit!

Ingkumhan Waterfall is located in Dimiao on Bohol Island in the Philippines. From Panglao, it is a 65km drive that takes around 1-hour to reach Ingkumhan Falls and the entrance fee is 20 pesos – You can also park your scooter here for 20 pesos.

The main set of falls features a flow of water that stretches across a limestone rockface around 10 meters wide and approximately 8 meters tall. The water fills a huge natural pool at the base of the falls that reminded me of blue Gatorade which I was almost tempted to drink.

There is a rope swing that can be used about halfway up the falls, so you will have to climb up the rock face to reach it. Surprisingly the surface of the rock isn’t that slippery and the depth of the pool is around 3 to 4 meters deep so you won’t need to worry about hitting the bottom when you swing.

There is also a 5-meter cliff jump that can be found on the left-hand side of the falls that is a lot of fun!

I visited Ingkumhan Falls Bohol on a Sunday and it was very busy with locals and other tourists. Try and time your visit for a weekday if you want to enjoy this waterfall without the crowds.

DIMIAO TWIN FALLS

Dimiao Twin Falls, also known as Pahangog Falls, is one of my favorite waterfalls on the island of Bohol. Its Gatorade rock pools and jungle surrounds are irresistibly inviting.

Dimiao Twin Falls is located in Dimiao on Bohol. From Panglao, it is a 60km drive that takes around 1.5 hours to reach Twin Falls and there is no entrance fee.

Once you arrive at the jump-off point, follow the rocky trail which then leads onto a steep set of concrete stairs with handrails to get down to these falls in Philippines. It’s an easy to moderate hike that takes no more than 10 minutes to reach the bottom.

Dimiao Falls is a twin set of falls that are around 25-meters tall, flowing down a limestone rock face and filling a large catch basin below. The turquoise natural-made swimming pool is deep enough in some areas to do some rock jumping but be sure to do a depth-check first.

One of the best things to do at Dimiao Twin Falls Bohol is to grab a rubber ring for 20 pesos and float around the rock pools. You can even swim up underneath the falls for a free head massage. In between the two sets of falls is a small sandy islet and a cave that you can also explore.

MAG ASO FALLS

Mag Aso Falls is one of Bohol’s natural treasures and an adventure not to be missed. Gatorade pools and epic cliff jumps are just some of the reasons why you should add Mag Aso Falls to your list of waterfalls to visit.

See More → Things To Do In Bohol

Mag Aso Falls is located in the town of Antequera on Bohol. To reach Mag Aso Falls it’s approximately 30 minutes drive from Tagbilaran City or a 1-hour drive from Panglao.

The Mag Aso Falls entrance fee is 20 pesos and an additional 15 pesos for parking.

There are 197 concrete steps with metal handrails leading down to the falls and it is an easy 5 to 10-minute hike to reach the bottom. At the halfway mark on the way down to Mag Aso Falls, there is a viewpoint that overlooks the waterfall which makes for a great photo opportunity.

Mag Aso Falls is an 8-meter waterfall that is surrounded by a tropical backdrop of tall trees and wild plants. Carved out under the waterfall is a natural pool that is particularly inviting to go for a swim due to its milky blue-colored water derived from the limestone rocks in the area.

You can swim over to Mag Aso falls from the outer edges and climb up into the natural jacuzzi pool to experience a head massage under the falls. There is also a small cave that can be found under the waterfall.

CAMUGAO FALLS

Camugao Falls is not quite as popular as Can-umantad Falls though it’s equally as impressive with its sheer size and irresistible rock pools!

Camugao Falls can be found in Balilihan on Bohol. From Panglao, it is a 42km drive that takes around 1 hour to reach Camugao Falls.

The entrance fee is 100 pesos and an additional 20 pesos must be paid for parking also.

It’s no more than a 10 to 15-minute hike to reach the bottom of the cliffs and to where the jungle trail emerges at the base of Camugao Falls.

Camugao Falls is surrounded by a towering curved cliff face that makes you feel as though you’ve just stepped inside an enormous amphitheater. To add to the ambiance, lush green plants and vines surround the canyon.

First things first, when I arrived I set down my belongings on the edge of the swimming hole and dived right into the natural-made pool to cool off.

A number of huts and rest areas can be found around the edge of the swimming hole beneath the falls where you can perch up and marvel at the beautiful surroundings.

There are no food and drink options at Camugao Falls so best to pack your own snacks and drinking water if you plan to spend some time at this epic waterfall in the Philippines.

KAWASAN FALLS BOHOL

Kawasan Falls Bohol is still yet to make a name for itself as one of the must-visit Philippines waterfalls. I stumbled across Kawasan Falls as I was heading from Camugao Falls to Mag Aso Falls as they are all relatively in the same area.

Kawasan Falls is located in the town of Antequera on Bohol. To reach Kawasan Falls Bohol it’s approximately 30 minutes drive from Tagbilaran City or a 1-hour drive from Panglao and there is a small entrance fee of 20 pesos.

Kawasan Falls is not an outrageous waterfall with a heavy flow of water but it is the jungle surrounding it and the nearby Abatan River that make this place so tranquil.

You can enjoy a nice walk through the forest along a jungle trail down to the Abatan River where you can find a few sheltered huts on stilts. A perfect spot to have a picnic with your friends!

Once you have checked out the river, continue on the trail for a few minutes to reach Kawasan Falls. A trickle of water flows down a tall rockface from the rice terraces on top of the hill and into a small lagoon at the base of the falls. The catch basin is quite shallow and a great spot for a swim to cool off.

PHILIPPINES WATERFALLS ON CAMIGUIN ISLAND

KATIBAWASAN FALLS

Katibawasan Falls in Camiguin is one of the tallest waterfalls on Camiguin At a whopping 70 meters tall, this is one waterfall you definitely want to add to your list.

Katibawasan Falls is located in Mambajao on Camiguin Island and it’s approximately a 20-minute drive to reach the falls from the main town. The entrance fee at Katibawasan Falls is 75 pesos.

Katibawasan Falls is fed from the nearby Mt. Timpoong and the falls itself features a narrow stream of water that flows effortlessly down a monolithic cliff-face and into a large catch basin below.

The shallow lagoon at the base of Katibawasan is the perfect opportunity to cool off in the fresh, crystalline waters while marveling at the lush jungle surrounds.

Apart from swimming in the lagoon and exploring the area around the falls, there isn’t much else to do. I recommend spending 30 minutes to 1 hour at Katibawasan Falls before continuing on to the other places to visit on Camiguin Island.

At the entrance to the falls, there are a few small shops selling souvenirs, snacks, and drinks. If you do have some small change to buy something here, the money goes a long way to support the local communities in the area.

All in all, Katibawasan Falls is easily one of the best waterfalls Philippines has to offer!

TUASAN FALLS

Tuasan Falls is hands-down my favorite waterfall on Camiguin Island! It’s not quite as popular as Katibawasan Falls but it’s sure worth the visit.

Tuasan Falls is located in Catarman which is approximately a 30-minute drive from the main tourist area of Mambajao and the entrance fee is 75 pesos.

A 20-meter-high waterfall and the freshwater stream is the first thing you’ll see as you walk around the bend from the jump-off point. Not to mention the stream is incredibly clear with a tinge of turquoise colors (some of the things the Philippines is most famous for)!

There are two rock pools at Tuasan Falls, the first pool is filled by the strong flow of water from the falls which then cascades down into the second pool.

My favorite thing about Tuasan Falls is the vivid flora and fauna that surrounds the area, adding to the tranquil scenes! We spotted many birds, lizards, and butterflies while hanging out beneath the canopy of the jungle that envelope the falls.

We were lucky enough to have Tuasan Falls completely to ourselves as we got there quite early in the morning which made our visit even more enjoyable. If you want to experience these falls without the crowds as we did, definitely try to get there as early as possible.

PHILIPPINES WATERFALLS ON TABLAS ISLAND

LINAO NI VECTO FALLS

Linao Ni Vecto Falls is well below the radar among other waterfalls which is a good reason to seek out this awesome spot on Tablas Island before it comes the most popular.

I found out about this waterfall from a local legend named Deo who has been operating as a tour guide on Tablas Island since 2007.

Usually, Deo offers guided tours around the island to all the Tablas Island tourist spots but on this day I decided to go on a solo mission and he was kind enough to give me the directions anyway.

Linao Ni Vecto Falls can be found between Odiongan and San Andres. The exact pin location is not yet on Google Maps though you can search for Tabing Ilog Rd and from the intersection, it’s a 3.5km drive inland to reach the jump-off point for Linao Ni Vecto Falls.

There is a local family that lives across the road from the falls that go by the name of Tabas. We found Mr. Tabas and he kindly showed us the way down the trail to Linao Ni Vecto Falls which was only a 10-minute walk through some grassland.

Linao Ni Vecto Falls features a large natural swimming pool enveloped by curved canyon walls and a 2m waterfall lies at one end. The milky blue pool of water in the catch basin gets its color from the limestone cliffs that surround the falls. It seriously looks inviting enough to drink!

There are a few jump-off points for cliff jumping at this waterfall in the Philippines ranging from around 1 meter, 3 meters and 5 meters which is a lot of fun if you’re keen to take the leap. Mr Tabas and I sent a few jumps off from the top of the falls into the natural pool below.

MABLARAN FALLS

Mablaran Falls is arguably the most popular waterfall in Tablas and well worth checking out during your adventures on Tablas Island.

Mablaran Falls is located in San Andres, approximately a 45-minute drive north of Odiongan. If you happen to be staying at Footprints Beach Resort, it’s a short 10-minute drive from here to reach Mablaran Falls.

It couldn’t be easier to find this waterfall as the road comes to a dead-end and this is where the entrance is to the Mablaran Falls. I visited in low season (September) and there was no one operating the tour desk at the front, nor were there any other tourists in sight. It honestly looked abandoned as if no one had been there in months.

However, I have heard that in high season Mablaran Falls is frequented a lot more and is popular among locals who come here to hang out for the day in large numbers.

Mablaran Falls features a large freshwater swimming hole that is surrounded by lush greenery and a small set of falls fed from the running stream above.

Man-made structures have been built along one side of the valley next to the falls including some seating areas with tables and chairs, sheltered huts, and change room facilities to accommodate guests.

If you’re looking for a tranquil spot to escape the sun and cool off in some freshwater springs, Mablaran Falls is perfect for exactly that.
