OVERVIEW – WHERE TO STAY IN BOHOL
I have divided this post into 2 different areas of where to stay in Bohol which I have listed below:
Panglao (West Bohol)
Panglao is hands-down the most popular area to stay in Bohol due to its close proximity to the main ferry port which is just a 45-minute drive and also Panglao International Airport which is a short 10-minute drive to the center of Panglao Town.
Panglao is great for beaches, shopping, restaurants, bars, cafes, nightlife, boat tours, and island tours. There are so many things to do in Panglao that you could easily spend 1 week here and not get bored.
Anda (East Bohol)
Anda is located on the far eastern tip of Bohol Island, approximately 3 hours drive from Panglao. Not many tourists make the effort to travel out to Anda but this is a big mistake!
I spent 4 days in Anda myself and it offers many adventurous things to do such as cave pools, snorkeling, hiking, viewpoints, boat tours, secluded white sand beaches, waterfalls, and more!
Anda is very underrated and relatively untouched, making it the perfect place to explore epic locations without battling the crowds that you will find in Panglao.

The best time to visit Bohol, weather-wise, is between April and July when temperatures are hot and there is barely any rainfall. This is also high season in Bohol so expect to see many tourists during these months.
