THINGS TO DO IN NUSA PENIDA

Now that you’ve got all the information on where to stay in Nusa Penida, you may want to read my Ultimate Nusa Penida Travel Guide which includes 14 Epic Things To Do In Nusa Penida!

NUSA PENIDA MAP

Have you got travel insurance for Bali? I know that nobody likes to talk about this stuff but accidents can happen and having World Nomads Insurance can save you thousands of dollars if something goes wrong.

HOW TO GET TO NUSA PENIDA

BALI TO NUSA PENIDA:

Ferries operate daily to Nusa Penida from Pemelisan Harbor in South East Bali. You can book the ferry online in advance to guarantee the lowest price.

The ferry ticket to the Nusa Penida also includes a hotel pick-up from your accommodation in Bali and dropped directly to the pier at Pemelisan Harbor. The boat trip takes approximately 45-minutes to Nusa Penida Island.

Get your ticket: Ferry from Bali to Nusa Penida

NUSA LEMBONGAN TO NUSA PENIDA:

You can also take a boat to Nusa Penida from Nusa Lembongan if you happen to be exploring this island first.

A boat from Nusa Lembongan to Nusa Penida will cost you around 50,000 IDR. You can organise the boat via your accommodation on Nusa Lembongan or simply head to the main harbor on Lembongan Island and ask one of the boat companies down on the beachfront.

GETTING AROUND NUSA PENIDA ISLAND

Nusa Penida is quite a large island and it can take up to one hour to get from one side of the island to the other. The best means of transport on the island is on a scooter.

When you arrive at Toya Pakeh harbor in Nusa Penida there are a number of scooter rental shops on the beachfront that will be able to sort you out with some wheels.

I paid 70,000 IDR per day for a scooter rental which came with a full tank of gas so you can expect to pay something around this price.

Be sure to get a helmet as an extra precaution for riding on the roads in Nusa Penida as they are not very well maintained.

NUSA PENIDA TOUR

If you happen to be in Bali and planning to visit Nusa Penida Island, there is one tour that I can highly recommend which covers all the highlights on a full-day trip from Bali.

The Nusa Penida Tour is the most top-rated tour with great reviews and thousands of bookings.

This tour covers the top attractions on Nusa Penida such as Keling King Beach, Angels Billabong, Broken Beach and more! With a hassle-free pick-up and drop-off from your hotel, return boat transfers from Bali, a hearty lunch and an English-speaking guide. All this for less than $40 USD.
