Bukit Teletubbies (Teletubbies Hill) in Nusa Penida is best known for its lush green rolling hills and incredible viewpoints that overlook the entire Nusa Penida Island.
I have put together this complete guide of Bukit Teletubbies including how to get there and what to expect!
Have you got travel insurance for Bali? I know that nobody likes to talk about this stuff but accidents can happen and having World Nomads Insurance can save you thousands of dollars if something goes wrong.
WHERE IS BUKIT TELETUBBIES & HOW TO GET THERE
Bukit Teletubbies is located in the southern mountain ranges on Nusa Penida Island.
From the main town and harbor of Toya Pakeh, it’s approximately a 45-minute drive to reach Teletubbies Hill Nusa Penida.
It’s very easy to rent a scooter when you arrive at the Toya Pakeh harbor for around 70,000 IDR per day.
Alternatively, most accommodations will help you to organise a scooter rental for the time that you plan to spend on Nusa Penida Island.

MY EXPERIENCE AT BUKIT TELETUBBIES
I reached the top of the mountain range on my scooter and followed the only tar sealed road along the ridgeline. I began to see rolling fields of green and rounded peaks that give Bukit Teletubbies Hill its name.
We pulled over on the side of the road, parked the scooter and went off to explore half a dozen different viewpoints at Bukit Teletubbies
On a clear day, you can see the neighboring island of Lombok and the almighty Mount Rinjani, the second largest volcano in Indonesia.
In the valleys between the Teletubbies Hill Nusa Penida are terraced fields of food crops and random clusters of coconut palm trees. I decided to fly my DJI Mavic Drone Camera to capture Bukit Teletubbies from above.
The best way to explore Bukit Teletubbies (Teletubbies Hill Nusa Penida) is on foot. Take a short hike to get a different perspective of this incredible landscape from nearby peaks.
